Covid-19

Covid-19

In the last two years members of our church community have been very mindful of the health and wellbeing of one another. We also made Hybrid worship permanent so that those who are unwell or prefer to participate in worship through Zoom may continue to do so. In light of this we are making the following changes:

1.
Mask optional. As of Sunday August 28th wearing a mask in church became optional. Masks will continue to be available in the back for those who choose to continue wearing them. We trust that if individuals are unwell that they will wear a mask or participate over zoom.

2.
Common Cup optional. The diocese gave permission to resume use of the common cup. It will be optional, if you prefer only to receive bread and skip the wine/grape juice that is up to you! It will be wiped after each person drinks from it.

3.
Laying on of hands optional. We will resume offering communal laying on of hands for birthday blessings or prayer requests. This means that if you personally would like the community to publicly bless you or pray for you during the prayers of the people we can do so.

4.
Coffee Hour. Coffee hour has resumed! The church will provide coffee, tea, and hot chocolate as well as other staples. Parishioners are welcome to sign up to host and provide food (the office will send out a sign up sheet). On Sundays without a host, the church office is happy to provide a simple spread of fruits, veggies, and other yummy treats!

No change: The vestry decided not to resume gathering in a circle during eucharisitic prayers or holding hands during the Lord's Prayer. We will revisit this at another time.
